Tainan at Dusk

I went to visit some friends who live in Tainan. Time moves slowly there.

I enjoyed our evening walks, meandering past some of the hundreds of Daoist and Buddhist temples scattered throughout the city. Communities are still bound together by the rhythms and rituals of each temple‚Äôs particular calendar.

Old and new form constantly surprising juxtapositions, as modern practices wrestle for attention with centuries-old forms of life.
